Well, yes and no, Rosanne. I can give it to you, but I don't want you to try it, ha ha ha!!!

What the original recipe said was to mix 1 c. Bisquick with 1/4 cup water and the refried beans and spread it on the bottom like a crust.

If *I* had used bisquick (which I almost did), I would've done it more like the Bisquick pot pie type recipe, where it's poured on top. So from the Bisquick Recipe Site:

the Bisquick Chicken Pot Pie topping is:

1	cup Original Bisquick® mix
1/2	cup milk
1	egg
blended and poured over top, baked 30 min at 400 degrees, or until golden brown

The Bisquick Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie calls for:
1/2	cup Original Bisquick® mix
1	cup milk
2	eggs
blended together and poured on top, baked 25 minutes at 400 degrees. That's an eggier, less biscuit-y crust.

Hope that helps! :)

So I could make a homemade biscuit mix and then do it as the recipe says? Would you mind sharing the recipe as it orginally is? It sounds really yummy and like a good Sunday night easy meal!

This actually sounds very good Kim! I'm surprised! *wink* I may certainly try this recipe out. So post some more of what you are doing in the kitchen! And if you ever need to trim food costs, you can use meat with more fat in it, then drain and wash off in a colander. Supposedly that gets rid of most of the fat.

Well, I don't like beans at all but without the meat I think this would be something that I could fix on fasting days.

And without the beans something we could have other days.

:-)
