Who Says?
Chris, from The Big Yellow House, says that Sheryl (who I do not know, cyberwise or otherwise) says that it's "National Delurking Week" ... whether Sheryl invented this "national" holiday (hm, actually, I don't even know what nation Sheryl is from ...) or not, I figured Why Not? (After all, it's the same number of words as "Who Says?" and it's easy to talk in short sentences in the morning when you haven't had enough coffee, which you swore you'd quit but then fell off the wagon and got run over by the same wagon and now need coffee just to find the coffee pot. .... uh ... apparently it's easy to talk in long, run-on nonsense sentences, too)
Why not delurk and leave a comment?? Some claim it even promotes weight loss and protects from terrorists, but I suspect that it is more of a feel-good moment, (you know: oooh looky at all my comments!!) But I'll take that, seeing as weight loss seems unattainable. And if you're a regular commenter, please also comment. Why not?
Posted by Kim at January 11, 2006 9:53 AMLURK!
Posted by: Dale at January 11, 2006 10:01 AMIf I delurk in other places does that mean I have to comment ALLLLLL the time???
Of course, I will not delurk in the places that I lurk because I lurk for a reason. So I am officially not delurking on delurking day!!
(Guess who had too much coffee this morning??? LOL)
Posted by: Becky at January 11, 2006 11:39 AMI'm always thinking of comments, but I'm just too lazy to post them. Happy de-lurking week!
Posted by: Marcia at January 11, 2006 12:24 PMBut I de-lurked just last week! Ah well...here I am. I just love reading your blog(s) :D
Ok here I am out from my lurking position. I lurk because I don't have much to say that would useful and I can't even come up with something clever to say in this comment.
Posted by: Michelle at January 11, 2006 2:54 PMI don't lurk, but hello anyway! :)
Posted by: Janne at January 11, 2006 4:30 PMwell you know I don't lurk on YOUR blog, but I'll leave a comment anyways. I read Papernapkin fairly regularly and usually enjoy it. I think she invented the holiday, too...
She lives, I think, in Ohio (somewhere in the midwest anyways) and wanted to give a room or two in her house to people affected by Katrina... she and I actually had a short email conversation about how she could possibly find some candidates (I told her to ask at the Christian camps that were housing displaced people) Does that count as a six-degrees-of acquaintance? I think she is a Christian, though she doesn't homeschool... oh wait, I don't either. Oh well. ;-D
