My First Thursday Thirteen

I've never done a Thursday Thirteen before. Truth be told, I was sort of afraid of them. Afraid there was something secret about them that I didn't know. Afraid I wouldn't be able to come up with 13 things about anything.
But hey, I know you're all out there itching to read another entry, so ... here goes.
Thirteen Things I've done already this morning
0. slept in late (oops, I added that later and didn't want to renumber)
1. nursed the baby back to sleep so that I could get up
2. used the facilities euphemism
3. hey, do you remember the Grinch Night movie where they're shutting up the house because the sour-sweet wind is starting to blow, and the little boy says, "I have to use the euphemism!" -- I always liked that.
4. Changed "facilities" to "euphemism" in #2.
5. read a whole bunch of blogs and wondered vaguely which of my favorite blogs are actually on my blogroll and which I've accidently forgotten, and felt bad about all the people that I forgot to add but really love
6. added a "number 0" and wondered why I'm not just using a numbered list, instead of numbering these manually. It's like I don't know how to use my code or something.
7. made coffee
8. discovered creepy old creamer in the back of the fridge that was *thick* and gloppy.
9. tried to convince myself it was thick and gloppy because it was the naturally-separating coconut creamer I'd made a while back, which was really yummy and would be delightful to find hidden in the back of the fridge
10. actually tasted a tiny bit of the crazy thick and gloppy creamer, because it didn't smell like the coconut creamer but still maybe might have been.
11. marveled in amazement at how scary a tiny taste of a creepy substance can be.
12. used two of my last 3 tiny hazelnut creamer single-serving tubbettes (what are those little containers called?) and realized I must make an emergency creamer run tonight.
13. Asked the whiny cat why she was whining and got only whines for a response. Mumbled "stupid, whiny cat" under my breath.
Gee, and I didn't think I had anything to say.
I'm sure you're all on the edge of your seats wondering what ELSE I've done today, but I guess you'll have to wait until next Thursday.
Huh. Now that I've posted it and then re-read it, it sure is LAME. But, I guess if the purpose is to get to know me, it accomplishes that! Because, yeah, I'm that lame.
P.s. - I'm gonna use that graphic again - I didn't make it, I got it from their site - but I really like it. It's so cute.

Posted by: mominprogress at August 31, 2006 12:14 PMLOL, I would have guessed you made the logo if you hadn't told me. Except the colors aren't quite your colors. ;o) Mmmm, coconut creamer sounds delicious!

Posted by: Becki at August 31, 2006 1:49 PMNot lame at all. I actually enjoyed reading it and it made me laugh.
Have a great day!
Fun list, for your first Thursday Thirteen. I haven't done this yet, but I might.
Posted by: Overwhelmed! at August 31, 2006 8:12 PMYou could add to your list: "Made Michele laugh!" That is certainly a worthy achievement. (heh! heh!)
Posted by: BusyHSmom at September 1, 2006 11:57 AMOh, and by the way, have I not yet converted you??? Listen to me girl, have you ever actually read the ingredients on those little creamer tubby thingies?? BLECCH!! When you go out tonight, buy yourself some nice organic half and half, or splurge and buy the real-deal organic heavy whipping cream...YUM! If you are using decent coffee beans and real cream you won't miss the artificial flavors and hydrogenated vegetable oil one bit. ;-D
Oh, and don't think of the money...you're worth it!!
Posted by: BusyHSmom at September 1, 2006 12:03 PMHey, I said something similar to my cat this morning too...darn cat, if i give him too much wet food he refuses to eat the dry...grrr.
happy first thursday thirteen...it's my first time too. :)
