T'Mahk Too - Comments on I can't believe they let me drive

Most of you are lucky you don't live in my town, only so you don't have to worry about me driving around town, or mixing chemicals, or shopping near you. I was at Kroger this evening to get things for...

I often forget I don't like stuff. Kind of like forgetting to not go shopping on Saturday or forgetting to pad a late afternoon trip ANYWHERE in town with an extra ten minutes (it takes that long just to get through our light with the after work traffic).

Oh Kim! You make me laugh so much! I have to admit to using umm... shhh don't tell... off brand processed cheese sometimes! But only certain off-brands are acceptable as others taste beyond umm... processed! I can't vouch for Krogetta having never tried that one.

Just wanted you to know that in Wal-mart Super Centers, you can find the Velveeta in the pasta and sauces section, along with the Parmesan Cheese. They sure do love to hide certain items don't they! At least they help you to get your exercise as you wander all about. :)

Praying for you and your family... and that you will remember what foods you don't like before you actually eat them again! LOL!

Hugs,

Hiya Kim! Velveeta? Hmmmm....I don't know that I've ever eaten it. I know what it is, but I just don't think I've ever consumed it...to my knowledge anyway.

My hubby does have a friend who ONLY eats Velveeta and insists upon it on everything that requires cheese.

Some complain about the size of Kroger, but it is the only store I shop. To me, the size says they have lots to offer and I'll get my walking requirement in for the day.

You are a HOOT!! I was trying not to spew my food and coffee as I laugh.

The ultimate in irony: As I read this, I was sitting at my desk eating my late breakfast which consisted of French Toast, made with 100% whole wheat bread (that I baked fresh yesterday with wheat that I ground) organic milk and organic eggs. Oh, and my organic coffee with organic cream and organic raw sugar. I don't know why, but that made your post all the more funny!!

And lest you think I am being smug...I am not! Tomorrow, breakfast could be Krispy Kreme! (Am I schizo?? Don't answer that!) Also, I buy my kids frozen waffles, and though it is not a regular around here, I have had Velveeta more times in my life than I care to confess! (My family loves the Super Bowl chili-cheese dip.) When I was a kid, I even liked that "cheese-in-a-can" that you could squirt out like whipped cream. Eeeeewwww!!!

Now 'fess up. What did you buy the Velveeta for?? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

I've wandered the store in that condition before...

Why didn't you ask a helpful store person where it was? Maybe for the same reason I didn't ask where the pizza sauce was...

We use name brand Velveta in a couple dishes here...

Come to Tennessee. Apparently the driving test here is VERY challenging. "Can you pass on the sidewalk" and "Demonstrate a ten-point U turn from the right hand lane that takes the entire duration of a green light." Just a few of the standard driving maneuvers I've seen.

Oh, and Vel-whatever it is -eeta? I used it in a Dugger recipe one time. My homemade Cashew Cheeze is better and I know what's in it. The scary thing was how long it lasted after a chunk had been removed from it. I'm considering putting it in our time capsule from this decade. At least the future civilization that unearths it will have a good snack.

Oh No, we forgot the Crackers, Gromit!

This post was hilarious...

I enjoyed it whilst savoring a few spoonfuls of frozen white chocolate macadamia nut cookie dough. =P I'm on a health kick.

I have a great recipe which calls for Velveeta. It's called Perogie Casserole, and it is ridiculously nutritious calling for lasagna noodles, potatoes, a bit of onion, Velveeta, and 3 STICKS of BUTTER! =P

I haven't thought of Velveeta for years. I grew up on Velveeta! I will probably live to 100 because of it. lol! But one day at work in 1979 I was getting ready to eat a bologna sandwich with Velveeta and unbeknownst to me my boss was some kind of health foodie and she said some really bad stuff about my Velveeta. I could hardly eat my sandwich. She apologized. I guess I looked a little green after what she told me.

Kim, you write the funniest long posts!!!
