Dismal. We went to church last night but the preacher's accent was so strong and he spoke so quickly I think I might have understood two sentences out of his 45 minute sermon. I just can't get the hang of this southern accent.

Today I took son out shopping for a thing or two at Walmart. Everything was going fairly well until we began a discussion about unintended consequences. It went from bad to worse to terrible to worse yet until he stormed out of the car wishing he were in prison because it would have to be better than life with me.

This child has broken so much of my heart I have little left. I'm waiting on the Balm of Gilead, but the waiting room is particularly slow today.

The Family Adventure sounds a little confusing. I don't think you bailed out of what *you* thought of as a Sunday school class with the family. Maybe they wanted it to be so difficult that nobody would ask to do it again. ;-) So did you make it to church on time?

You didn't miss much by skipping the Family Adventure. Although the Family Worship class was very upbeat & interesting. The other two we attended were lame. However, it was nice to do something together as a family, even if it was mostly just entertainment.

This week our Sunday was quiet. (Except for the hour that I tried to nap and phones kept ringing!) This was a blessed relief from last week, considering we ended up at the ER with my mother in the middle of the afternoon!

I think your idea of a Family class would probably have worked much better than what you are describing happened. Oh, well, maybe they'll try your idea next. ;)

Hey! Go ahead and join me and start your living room! Remember to declutter starting from the entrance of the room and go clockwise. Like I said in an earlier blog - at least it will get cleaned once a month. LOL!
