I didn't take a picture because it looked too good to wait. But I told you this summer was my "summer to learn to grill" right? So I've been buying things and bravely grilling them. I bought one of those...

No hope for spontaneous organizational skills. I've been waiting for 14 years and it hasn't happened yet. Sometimes, I almost wish they had OCD.....but not really. One crazy person in the family is our limit. :)

We have a tried and true ribs recipe. Douse them in barbecue sauce, put them in a turkey bag on low cook for a couple hours, then take the ribs out of the bag and sear them on the hot coals. The slow cooking makes them juicy, and the searing seals in the juices. Just make sure they're not falling off the bone when you put them on the grill!
YUM!!

Here's our ribs recipe. Get some applewood (I have some that I could bring on Thursday) and soak it in water for an hour. Then get lots of charcoal good and hot and build an indirect fire with space in the middle. Put the ribs in the middle and the soaked wood on the coals. Cook it slowly until done. Very very tasty. I think we might have put some kind of spices on the ribs in a dry rub sort of way but I can't remember what. Probably some kind of pepper mix.
