A good rain storm
we did have a good rain storm yesterday.
The kind that waits until I get out of the car to pick up Eminoodle and then pours like a flood while I run into the building from my far-distant parking place, then lets up when I'm safely inside.
The kind that necessitates umbrella twirling, leaping and jumping, and a change of clothes at the end.
Buzz: thrilled to hold an umbrella and learn to twirl it:

Three twirling umbrellas:

One leaping lady:

Standing under the porch drip:

All in all, the good kind of rain storm.

In other news? Pond water + homemade growth brew + several days incubation time = a really stinky kitchen. On the agenda today? View the potions and toss the stuff!

if you didn't tell me those jars were pond scum I would have thought they were homemade jellies from the picture - LOL!
Posted by: kelly at September 26, 2007 1:36 PMI love the pics! Rain is so much fun. I was out the last time it rained, so my bigger ones took the little ones out to play in it. We don't have umbrellas, so they just got soaked and changed. They love water, especially Sam, so it was a real treat.
Posted by: Shari at September 26, 2007 2:12 PMWe got that rain after you did- what a deluge! It carved out huge tracks in our laneway and deposited most of our new rock garden at the bottom of the hill. :-/
Posted by: Rosanne at September 26, 2007 4:22 PMHey Kim how are you?
It is so hard for me to post since the baby was born I have just been reading.
If you want to see pix of him email me. Or go to my blog www.xanga.com/kimstn
Love the lockers I would love to have some or just the room for some. LOL
Sorry that the pond water stinks...they certainly match well with your green color scheme!
Kids in rain are precious!
Posted by: busyHSmom at September 26, 2007 9:43 PMI love the pics of the kids playing in the rain! Our girls used to just LOVE doing that, grandson--not so much!!! He'll play in the creek, river, or mud puddle, but he doesn't want water coming out of the sky onto his head!! ; )
Posted by: Theresa at September 27, 2007 8:43 AMbut your brews look so lovely on your shelf there ... pretty pretty!

If you are interested in blogging back and forth again, let me know. I have been quiet on the 'blog front' for some time now. I even left Spark People. *gasp* Just got to be too overwhelming. Over the summer I just gradually slowed wayyy down on a number of on-line things. I'm going to put more effort into my blog and journal trips we make. My (only) Aunt, who I've been newly reaquainted with, is sending the girlies and I to visit her in New York City for two+ weeks. We leave in one week and can't wait! I'm going to detail as much as I can on a note pad and then come back and blog it all, along with as many photos as I can possibly take while there.
I hope you've been doing well, dear Kim. I've sure missed you! Hugs, Robin
Posted by: Robin at September 28, 2007 12:47 AMI love a good rain storm. They are better when you can just stay inside and not get wet.
Love you pictures! That last one of your son is especially adorable.
