Kim,

My dh's family also called them dumplings. But you are right, they ARE noodles. Must be an Illinois thing, right? That soup looks great. I do love the cooking for winter better than summer cooking. I look forward to the start of cold weather so I can make chili, bean soup, chicken soup, stew, pot roast and all those other great hearty hot dishes.

Silly boy! Dumplings I can make, noodles I can't! Dumplings are those things you make like drop biscuits and drop into the pot to steam in the soup. Noodles have to be rolled out (one of the tools of the trade I never mastered, hence no pie here) and cut, like you have there! When someone uses a word like that (wrongly, in my mind) I want to break them open a redandwhitecan of chemical soup and promise them a delicious bowl of chicken and dumplings!

Good thinking to get yourself back caught up, Kim. I know just what you mean with the 75% thing. I'm looking at my 50% kitchen right now and thinking that I should go get to work. :)

They're dumplings! LOL! I finally caught up on all the progress you've been making. What a wonderful way to kick off the fall season. Kind of like spring cleaning, only fall cleaning. I know this is going to help you sooooo much. It's actually kind of inspiring. I think I'm going to take a look around my house and see what needs to be done.
