So Hollie and I finished up my bedroom today. Yeah yeah, pix of that coming some other day. Actually maybe I'll wait until I paint and decorate it. But the closets and drawers look great. WOOT! But that's not what...

Dearest Kim,

You are WONDERFUL!!! I am very impressed with what you accomplished with the garage's "sorting-out" job & tiding up! I knew you could do it! You have been absolutely wonderful through all of this organizing! It has been both a blessing and a pleasure working with you. I deeply appreciate all the nice things you say... but most of all I appreciate you! And to the readers of this blog ~ Kim is truly a remarkable woman in many ways! She has even installed her own light fixture in the bathroom and many other things. She has been a complete trooper and has put forth exceptional team effort and hard work, even on the days that I have "freaked" her out with a overwhelming task for us to complete together! She is an amazing woman!!! It has been a positive experience and a true joy working with her and getting to know her! I care about her & her family very much already and feel that God brought us into one another's lives. See Kim ~ I told you that organizing is "FUN"!!! :o) See you tomorrow!!! \o/ Praise the Lord for each & every blessing! ~ Amen! In His Love, Hollie

woo hoo! I'm proud of you for facing your fears and doing something about them. That's so cool. And I'm so glad Hollie sees and appreciates YOU - not just seeing you as a "hopeless messie". And I hope the whole idea of reorganizing as not being permanent but "let's try this out" gives you the freedom to try things as your kids grow and you need different solutions. That's just way cool.

You've inspired me to do some moving and shaking at my own house.... but I confess now I want closets too! We took them out of the kids' rooms and the front room in order to have space.... I wonder if we'll have to put some back in though. But yesterday I moved a shelf in Chickie's room to Bubbie's room, to trade with his ex-microwave cart so that Chickie could have a moveable place for her dollhouse... and all four kids were excited and our books make more sense now... in part from your (and Hollie's) encouraging stories! ;o)

This has been amazing to read. You have made wonderful progress. To declutter and reorganize your whole house in one fell swoop. Wow! Your kids have really been troopers through all this too. Going through personal belongings (esp. toys) is hard. My dd is pretty good at letting go of old, unused things, but my ds doesn't want to let go of anything. I still have bags of stuffed animals in the garage because he didn't want to give them away. So kudos to your kiddos too!

Since you are answering some readers questions... ;-) I was wondering how it has been keeping up with it. Some of the rooms have been done for a while so is it easier to keep them up, or has it been stressful to try to keep it organized? Do you think that once Hollie is gone that you'll be able to handle it? Is it "you", or is it like living in someone else's home and trying to keep it their liking? I would love to know how the upkeep is going for you.

Oh ... No, not for free. I hired her.

I've looked, off and on in the past, more on a hopeful whim, for an organizer "like I saw on TV" only less mean and demanding, LOL. I hate how they pit people against each other and play up the *drama* ...

Then I saw, on my local homeschooling classifieds, Hollie's ad -- she's just getting into the Orgo business, and she's a believer and a homeschooler and a mom, and she said in her ad that she was 'compassionate and not judgmental' about people's stuff/mess/disorganization.

She also posted that she does a free initial phone consultation AND a free 1-2 hour in home consultation without commitment.

So I emailed and asked if we could do the initial consultation by email, and we emailed back and forth a few times, and then she came to look over my house with me.

She gave me a discounted 'first customer' rate but I am paying her by the hour - plus gas money - plus I buy my own storage solutions (with her input on what I need) ...

But no, not just out of the goodness of her heart. Although she has a very good, sweet heart, and I love her.

I hired her as a professional, but God really sent me a sister in Christ and a friend in her, too. What a blessing, on so many levels.
