Walking In A Sugar Wonderland

Take:

6 sugar cones
1 can white frosting
too much food coloring
a fortune's worth of decor
every bowl in the house
6 exuberant children

mix frosting with food coloring, apply liberally to sugar cones, invert onto paper plates using additional frosting as glue

allow children to decorate as desired

Make children wait to eat until all are done and photographed

Enjoy!

Those are very cool. They would be a great addition to our ginger bread house. I will have to remember it for next year. Thanks and happy holidays.

I saw these...somewhere...and planned to do them but never remembered to buy the ingredients. Maybe I'll send Bobby to the store on the way home tonight, and then I can make Kaitlyn sit with the littles and do this while I am wrapping the 2000 presents I still have to wrap. I am thinking that this is a wonderful idea.

BTW...your kids are too adorable. :o)

Adorable! Can I send my 8 year old over to do messy crafts with you? I just don't allow them in my house! Now stuff like knitting, we're all good! She is even coming to the knitting club I started now, but messy - no way! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

We did something similar when the kids were younger. We made marshmallow treats, but when the marshmallows were melted we added green food coloring. We sprayed the inside of cone water cups (like you'd get at a water cooler) with cooking spray and packed the green treats in them, then peeled away the cones and decorated.

What good is a holiday without eating way too much sugar and artificial coloring? Way to go, funmom!
