Once is funny, Twice is silly ...

Anyone remember that line from the Frances books? It was always a favorite saying in my home ...

but today's application is a little different.

Once is funny, twice is silly, three times is a bruised tailbone.

Yeah, apparently I'm getting a little old for going down bumpy hills ... I should've stopped when my tailbone was just a little sore, but I went down one more with Sputnik, making the mistake of using an unpadded sled and going over the little bump. YOUCH!

I'm sure I'll be fine in a day or two. But apparently I'm not 10 anymore. Go figure.

I'll leave you with this picture from last Saturday that I never got around to posting -- which is a much bigger hill and jump than the one that did in my tailbone:

That looks fun! I hurt my tailbone over a year ago and it still isn't healed. I did it in a very lame way though. Nothing cool like sledding.

Ouch! I hope you're feeling better soon!

YIKES!!! I'm glad you had fun and hope you heal quickly!

Yep, sledding is way more fun than falling down three steps on your tailbone, like a certain nameless but still tender after three years person did. Do you know how long it has been since I've been sledding? Sigh. I can't even remember. I'm always either pg or have a little baby.

Look at you Kim, looks like fun ... but ouch! Oh that can hurt!

My mom broke her tailbone falling down stairs and had to have it removed! It's a big joke in our family that when archaeologists find her skeleton, they'll think they've found an evolved human! ;)

But it does hurt something awful. Go to the drugstore and buy a "donut" to sit on until it heals. That helps a LOT.

Sorry to hear about the tailbone! My mom bruised her tailbone skiing and that is why we never learned to downhill ski. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Oh no! I hope it heals quickly. We girlies lovvvved watching your YouTube sledding videos the other day. We watched them over and over the other day.

Big hugs to you, Robin

Oh Kim - thanks for the laugh! Makes my tailbone hurt just looking at the air you got on that sled!
