In which I decide - again - to be someone else when I grow up
I did something really cool today, but I'll have to blog it tomorrow.
Actually, it's already tomorrow. But I wasted the last part of the day looking for things I'd put "in safe places" so as not to lose them.
One of the items - an audio CD I need for schooly stuff - I'd already lost once, and found sometime somewhat recently - and then put in a "safe place"
Which, as I'm sure you've guessed, I can't find anywhere.
I've been up since 3:30 this morning (for the cool reason I don't have time to mention) and it's now after midnight and I can't find something I thought would be easy to find.
So I'm frustrated and angry and discouraged with myself.
And on that note I'll head to bed.
Posted by Kim at September 2, 2008 12:09 AMI hate losing things that I've put away in a safe place. Especially when I know that I've actually touched the thing 1 or 2 weeks ago. I just recently paid the library to restock one of the Magic Treehouse books that somehow has disappeared in our house. I really hate paying for a book that I myself would never read.
Posted by: karen at September 2, 2008 6:30 AMOnly thing I've lost recently is my mind. Don't miss it much.
Posted by: Peggy at September 2, 2008 8:28 AMOh,stop leaving me hanging! What cool thing did you do?
Posted by: Barbie at September 2, 2008 10:30 AMok... i had to read this three times in order to understand it.
I think I need to go to bed early tonight.
Posted by: john at September 2, 2008 4:45 PMPsst...It's really Leigh, from "Notes From the Padded Room". Remember me? I had a blogging disaster that resulted in lots of relatives finding my blog and mortifying me to no end, so now I am all incognito. Don't tell anyone! From this moment forward, I shall be known as "Gwendolyn", because my grandfather used to call me that for no discernable reason and I always sort of liked it.
Anyway. What cool thing did you do? You should not leave us hanging like this! What if I wanted to also do something cool, but because of you I didn't have any cool ideas?
Posted by: Gwendolyn at September 2, 2008 5:00 PMLove the Pooh-esque title! I inherited the "put something in a really good place" gene from my mother and, I believe, I've passed it on to a daughter or two as well. :)
