First Saturday Check-In
Good morning, everyone!
It's a brilliant but cold Saturday in Michigan. The perfect time for a walking check-in! Drop me a line by email or by comments and let me know how you're doing on your Walking Challenge, and I'll update it below so we can all rejoice with you! Would you believe we currently have almost 30 walkers!!!! Whooo!

Posted by: Rosanne at April 8, 2006 2:21 PMI'm up to 15miles of my 60 mile goal. I figured 3 miles a day 5 days a week. I love the mapmyrun site. It made it easy to figure out how many miles my regular walking path is, then figure how many days I wanted to walk and come up with a monthly goal. So far I am right on track!!

Posted by: Melissa Markham at April 8, 2006 6:23 PMHi Kim! I didn't walk as much as I had wanted this week! Hubby was home all week working on taxes and he works where I exercise! I did manage to get 3 days of walking it to total 7 miles! And that is 7 more miles than I walked the week before so a step at a time - literally!
I also managed to get below a weight goal I wanted this week and stay there! I had been fluctuating at a few lbs above or below my temporary goal for about 3 weeks now and finally this last week I have stayed at least a pound below my temporary goal! I'm now dropping my goal 5 more lbs. Then want to finally drop it another 3 lbs to reach my final goal weight! Hoping I can make it there before we are blessed with another little one!
I've now tried the following workouts:
Walk Away The Pounds Express 1 mile
Walk Away The Pounds Express 2 mile
Walk Away The Pounds Express 3 mile
Walk Away The Pounds Express Walk Strong
Walk Away The Pounds Power Series Walk and Kick
My favorite so far that actually made me sore the next day because I could taylor the workout more to make it stronger and tone more was the Walk Strong one! I will definitely be doing it again this week! Hubby is working tonight so I might even try to squeeze in a workout tonight after the kids are in bed before hubby gets home but tomorrow is our 13th anniversary so I'll stick with one of the basic walks so I'm not sore tomorrow!
I got the Walk Away The Pounds Abs 3-in-1 to try but haven't gotten to yet.
Posted by: Christi at April 8, 2006 7:32 PMI am up to 19 miles as of Saturday. Please keep me in your prayers as I am upping my minimum walking time to 45 minutes 5 days this week and adding intervals - walking 3 minutes, running 1 minute! Egads!
